Late June to early September in New Zealand is hoki season, when many of them spawn off the West Coast of the South Island and in the Cook Strait. As the first-ever whitefish fishery in the world to be certified by the Marine Stewardship Council, since 2001 this fish has endeared itself to seafood lovers around the world. Photographer Steve Hussey headed out with Resolution II owner-operator Chase Saunders-Loder to capture some of the sun-drenched moments that make this fishing season so special.
