Trainee marine engineers assist senior engineers with maintenance of equipment. You will undertake the repairs and maintenance required to keep the vessel operating, including working with the mechanical, refrigeration and electrical systems.

Trade certificate preferred but not essential.
Career Progression
To progress to second engineer, you will have to complete the Marine Engineer Class 6 (MEC6)
