Gear Innovation Workshops 2024
Government and industry are working together to support fishers to stay at the forefront of fishing gear and method innovation. A big part of this work is to run a series of gear innovation workshops up and down Aotearoa.
The workshops, launched this week at the New Zealand Federation for Commercial Fishermen Conference, will enable fishers to showcase gear innovation, engage with other fishers and promote connection with innovators and technology experts.
To make it easy for people to attend, we are hosting 10 workshops throughout June and July, in various centres, from Invercargill up to Whangārei.
